    The Rockport Public Library will be CLOSED on Tuesday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day. We will reopen for regular operating hours and programs on Wednesday, November 12. The staff of the Rockport Library sends our sincere gratitude to all who have served.

    On Wednesday, November 12, at 6 p.m. the Rockport Public Library will host midcoast resident Lindelinkosi Nyoni for an inspiring presentation that takes audiences on a visual journey through Zimbabwe’s beauty, culture, and resilient spirit. From the grandeur of the Victoria Falls, to the warmth of its villages, attendees will experience the story of a nation shaped by faith, endurance, and hope. Through powerful stories, vivid photos, and reflections of faith, Nyoni will illustrate how the people of Zimbabwe continue to rise above challenges through their courage and grace. Lindelinkosi Nyoni serves as a missionary pastor based in Camden, Maine, where he works with four churches. His journey from a career in electrical engineering to full-time pastoral work reflects a deep commitment to people, purpose, and personal growth. With experience spanning Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and the South Pacific, Nyoni brings a global perspective to his work. He is passionate about inspiring others through meaningful storytelling, teaching, and service, helping individuals and communities find hope, resilience, and direction in a complex world.
