Children’s Room

The Rockport Public Library’s Children’s Room offers our young patrons a light, airy, and engaging space to explore and learn all about their library. Our room is filled with puzzles, blocks, legos, and coloring pages to encourage creativity and build essential developmental skills. Our middle school readers will also find a large collection of chapter books and graphic novels to enjoy. With new, popular titles coming in regulary for them to take home.

Children sit at tables in a bright library, drawing and coloring. Bookshelves and artwork line the walls, while an adult stands near the windows in the background. Sunlight streams in, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

We offer recurring story times for children ranging from ages 2-5, monthly Saturday morning family art classe, where families can learn about different artists and styles and have fun created their own masterpieces.

Below you will find our recurring events, and always please check our monthly calendar for other events and programs.
